Short Summary:
Mr. Poppert has been an active professional in the energy industry for 10 years now; his primary focus has been in geothermal, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. Over the years, Mr. Poppert has presented on various renewable energy topics including public policy, utility benefits and innovative finance. He also was the active President of the Colorado Geo Energy and Heat Pump Association from 2011-2013. He has been involved in public policy at the state level for many years where he works with a diverse team of energy professionals on thermal renewable energy legislation. Mr. Poppert is well respected in the energy community and very well connected to strategic professionals in the renewable energy industry.
Prior to working for Major, Mr. Poppert owned and operated a successful geothermal drilling company for seven years, before leaving to complete his graduate degree at the University of Colorado-Denver Business School. Mr. Poppert has an extraordinary understanding of how effective HVAC technologies can impact the built environment and how to effectively incorporate them into strategic project planning. In 2012, 2013 and 2014 Mr. Poppert was awarded the Who’s Who in Energy from the National Business Journals for his ongoing contributions to the Renewable Energy Industry.
